Cardas uses their own ultra-pure copper in their cables and conductors which features in this product. However, a great cable requires more than just high quality copper. Cardas Audio places great emphasis on using the best dielectric materials in their cables, including PFA, and air (using suspension tubes). This cable features PFA and cotton dielectric material.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e This interconnect also contains golden section stranding. Cardas conductors are constructed of multiple strands of ultra pure copper wire, each with its own enamal coating (making it Litz wire). The copper wire is in various sizes (AWG), with the strands at the center of the conductor being the smallest, and strands on subsequent layers going up in size in a Golden Ratio progression. \u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e This cable contains 2 x 21.5 \u0026amp; 2 x 28.5 AWG conductors and a spiral shield.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e Another feature is crossfield conductors. Ordinary Cables are di-pole antennas, both radiating and absorbing RFI\/EMI, which sustains system resonance.
