High-Precision PASS Servo CD Playback Architecture
SMSL has implemented its self-developed PASS high-precision CD Servo system to get perfect and accurate CD readout. It implements closed-loop precision control over the spindle motor, tracking, focusing, and radial balance. It is combined with a high-rigidity mechanism base and a multi-point damping anti-vibration structure, this Servo architecture effectively suppresses centrifugal vibration generated during disc rotation. You get silky smooth CD playback with no vibration issues during playback. The PL200 MKII has a transparent top-loading CD mechanism.
Flagship-Grade Audio Processing Circuit
SMSL PL200 MK2 is a device specially developed for pure high-resolution audio signal processing. Right after the audio data is extracted from the CD, USB, or BT input, it is handed over to the high-definition ES9039Q2M 32-Bit DAC chipset. It processes high-resolution PCM and DSD signals with ultimate precision and provides multiple output options. We have XLR/RCA line-out options. You can also take coaxial and optical digital outputs in real time and enable lossless transmission to external high-end DACs or DSP processors. Additionally, SMSL has also featured a strong headphone amplifier section with discrete components that support two-level gain adjustment and has a maximum output power of 1.5W per channel. We have 3.5mm and 4.4mm headphone outputs available on the PL200 MKII.
Patented CK-03 Clock Circuitry
SMSL PL200 MKII features their patented CK-03 clock processing circuit and 2nd generation PLL technology. It effectively eliminates jitter during digital transmission, ensuring maximum flexibility for playback. SMSL PL200 MKII also has external clock input support.
High-Definition Bluetooth Transmission
SMSL has equipped the PL200 MKII with Qualcomm’s high-end Bluetooth chipset that enables Bluetooth transmission on the device. It not only provides signal input here on the PL200 MKII, but users can also transmit the CD Playback and USB signal to Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

The PL200 MKII features a seamless metallic chassis with an IPS colorful display screen. This display screen can also support lyrics display when streaming via Bluetooth from a mobile device.
Pure Transport Mode
SMSL PL200 MKII can also be used as a pure CD transport, users can enable the “Transport Mode” on the PL200 MKII. This bypasses all internal analog circuits, including DAC conversion, operational amplifiers, and headphone amplification. This will allow them to use the PL200 MK2 as a pure CD transport on your existing desktop chain.
