The feature-rich MOON 681 from the North Collection draws upon stunning MOON design and advanced digital audio technologies to deliver a seamless experience with the 641 and to serve as a complete digital front end to any analog amplifier. Accessing personal music libraries and online streaming services with its pioneering MiND2 platform, digital audio is brought to life in vivid detail by this modern masterpiece.
A beautiful 4.3’’ OLED screen displays cover art with song and artist names, while the BRM-1 remote control and MOONLink communication make it a pleasure to operate and integrate within a complete MOON system. MHV (MOON Hybrid Volume) technology employs a clever combination of digital attenuation and analog gain levels to allow for high-performance volume control when the 681 is not connected to a MOON preamplifier without compromising the audio signal in the digital domain.
At the heart of the 681 is the MDE1, a re-clocking FPGA with an innovative DAC implementation to convert audio with industry- leading accuracy. Equipped with a MiND2 network player, the 681 accesses music from TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer, and HighResAudio, is compatible with, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, and TIDAL Connect, is Roon Ready, decodes all two-channel digital music formats—including MQA and DSD—and can synchronize with other MiND2 products to create a whole home experience!
Designed to accompany the 641, the 681 transforms any digital audio source into a revealing audio signal to complement any amplifier. The 681 and 641 are archetypes of the streaming DAC and integrated amplifier, and proof of the superlative mastery of MOON engineering.
