Description
- The DAC501 offers an exceptionally accurate sound presentation with the ability to adjust various audio settings. User-configurable options include room EQ, de-essing, crosstalk cancellation, dynamics compensation, loudness control, and vinyl emulation, allowing for personalized sound tuning.
- The DAC501 supports multiple digital inputs and provides both balanced and unbalanced analog outputs. It supports all standard sampling frequencies up to 384 kHz, as well as DSD x64 and x128. Additionally, it functions as a preamp, headphone amp, and network streamer (compatible with UPnP/ROON).
- The unit uses dual 32-bit D/A converter chips with two conversion channels per audio channel, ensuring high fidelity. It also features an internal high-precision/low jitter clock generator for ultra-stable clocking, enhancing the overall audio quality.
- The DAC501 incorporates professional-grade audio processing algorithms, similar to those used in Weiss Engineering’s professional audio tools, allowing users to adjust their audio with the same precision as in professional studio environments.
- The DAC501 comes with an IR remote control for easy operation, including selecting inputs/outputs, applying DSP audio processing presets, and power management. Additionally, it can be controlled and configured via a web browser, providing detailed control over DSP processing and preset management.

POWER SUPPLY | A powerful non-switching power supply is used. All sensitive voltages have their own regulators which are separated between left and right channels. The result is an analog output free of “digital noise” and channel crosstalk.
The power switch activates a semiconductor relay which only switches on or off at zero crossings of the mains voltage. This assures a glitch-free power switching. The two mains transformers are toroidal types. Mains voltage selection is done automatically by measuring the mains voltage before power is applied to the rest of the electronics. |
