Note, this is a single-ended signal adapter
As shown in the image, when converting 4.4 to a single-ended signal, it can be understood that only half the power is used, with the signal coming from the device's L+ R+, and the 5th node of the 4.4 socket being used as the G return. Caution! The balanced 4.4 signal cannot have the L- R- shorted as G-, as this will increase the device's load and could even cause damage.
Design and features
To ensure lossless music signal transmission during the conversion, the DJ65M(4.4) uses the HiFi desktop device socket for the adapter, which has excellent conductivity performance. Combined with a full CNC metal housing, it is a truly audiophile-grade accessory.
TRS adapters are common, 4.4mm adapters are special
TRS stands for Tip, Ring, Sleeve, which is the standard for stereo plugs. The 6.35mm size is commonly used for desktop devices, while 4.4mm is a balanced output, often found in portable devices. In some cases, you may need to connect a 6.35mm headphone to a 4.4mm device, which requires a specially designed adapter. This is quite different from a traditional 3.5mm adapter.
