Clear Light is George Cardas’ newest interconnect design, featuring innovations found in the Clear cables, including Matched Propagation Conductors.
This cable features Cardas copper. Cardas uses their own ultra-pure copper in their cables and conductors which features in this product. However, a great cable requires more than just high quality copper. Cardas Audio places great emphasis on using the best dielectric materials in their cables, including PFA, and air (using suspension tubes).
This interconnect also contains golden section stranding. Cardas conductors are constructed of multiple strands of ultra pure copper wire, each with its own enamal coating (making it Litz wire). The copper wire is in various sizes (AWG), with the strands at the center of the conductor being the smallest, and strands on subsequent layers going up in size in a Golden Ratio progression.
This cable also features 3 x 25.5 AWG Clear Sky conductors.
Another feature is crossfield conductors. Ordinary Cables are di-pole antennas, both radiating and absorbing RFI/EMI, which sustains system resonance. Cardas cable design incorporates Crossfield Construction in its manufacture, which reverses every other stranding layer to defuse the di-pole effect and match conductor propagation to that of surrounding dielectric materials.
The cable also features double shielding, this prevents the cable from absorbing and radiating RFI/EMI, which can cause noise and distortion.
Cardas has used the alcryn jacket as the outer jacket material. Alcryn jackets are soft & compliant, with a rubbery feel.
